solo, recorded early morning, near to Stonehenge, is full of spiritual energy
and portrays a sense of longing.
The project began with an organic recording session in a Portobello area
studio by two great musical minds - Sean Williams (Process) and Drezz of Nervasystem,
working together as The Mystery School Players.
The Mystery School Players appear on "Alchemical Changes" with Lee
Harris - founder of Alchemy and on "Three Men in a Boat" with 'Mr
Nice' - the legendary Howard Marks,
Master of digital dub, Jeremy (Jez) of the Drum Druids, whose previous incarnation was Laughing Buddha, also recorded his track locally. The Portobello influence is further highlighted by the dub beats of the messianic Tony Assassin and An-unna-ki featuring vocalist Yasmin Khan Cheema and rap/beatbox artist JC001, a native to the Protobello area and reknowned for his stunning live (and studio) work with the eclectic international artist Nitin Sawhney.
The Bush Chemists , who brought us the critically acclaimed "Light up your Spliff!" album, provide yet another flavour of Dub, showcasing the talents of Roots vocalist Culture Freeman. The traditional Celtic element comes from the haunting sonic seascapes of multi-talented Ginny Davis & John Ramirez as Triplicity and from Tokyo to Portobello, Pop, recording as The Crystal of Art, with strangely beautiful electronica.
